Our story
Founded by international pop star Lisa Scott-Lee and West-End star, Johnny Shentall, New Covent Garden is an entertainment and performing arts hub set up in 2025 to enhance Dubai’s burgeoning arts and culture scene.
The original Covent Garden in London is an internationally recognised hub for shopping, entertainment and theatre, and New Covent Garden is set to become a similar landmark within Dubai’s rich cultural and tourism industry. Putting the ‘heart in the arts’ of Dubai, New Covent Garden offers an innovative and inclusive home for international and local shows, performers, and events.
A truly welcoming and buzzing space - creatives can be inspired, family and friends can gather to unwind, and theatregoers can be enthralled with new shows every month. New Covent Garden is located in one of Dubai’s most famous leisure destinations – Mall of the Emirates.
The facilities
New Covent Garden’s 600-seater theatre hosts a diverse range of productions from musical theatre to comedy to children’s entertainment and Arabic shows to world-class ballet and opera, plus live concerts and more.
Ten dance studios including a Yoga and Pilates Studio and a Black Box offer the community a place to come together, stay active and enjoy the space, while premium dining options set the stage for an all-encompassing day into night experience.
Throughout the year, seasonal pop-up events will bring a focal meeting point for residents and tourists of all ages to gather, share in community and connection.
